Much loved, Evelyn N. Goldman of Natick passed away on June 3, 2018. She was extraordinarily sociable and empathetic, curious and independent thinking, with a wonderful sense of humor. Evelyn had a gift for friendship. She was a lover of books and words, jazz and classical music. After her children were grown, she became a social worker and worked for Vision in Action, an alternative high school in Natick. Evelyn also was an alcohol educator and had a private social work practice. She was a lifelong advocate and activist for women's rights and civil rights. With delighted family and friends, she celebrated her 100th birthday on August 30, 2017.
Beloved wife of the late Harry W. Goldman, she is survived by her children, Roberta Goldman Lehmann, Barbara Goldman (and her husband David Fine) and Elisabeth Goldman Evans, her brother Larry Nagle, her seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren - - all of whom will miss her deeply.
A Memorial Service will be held later in the summer. Contributions in her memory can be made to the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts or the Morse Institute Library in Natick.
