Kathleen I. Murphy, 62, of Derry, NH died Tuesday June 5, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Kathleen was born in Boston, MA on February 24, 1956, a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Galvin) McInnis. She had resided in Derry since 1986, formerly living in Charlestown, MA where she was raised and educated. She had previously worked for the Sisters of Mercy in Windham, NH.
She is survived by her husband, Richard R. Murphy, Sr. of Derry, four children, Erin Murphy and her companion Scott Cataldi, Heather Murphy, Raphael M. Murphy III, and Richard R. Murphy, Jr., all of Derry, ten grandchildren, Alexus, Jake, Zachary, Patrick, Isabella, Scotty, Annah, Sophia, Tanya, and Jessie, two brothers, Michael McInnis of Malden, MA, and Jackie McInnis of Maryland, two sisters, Susan McInnis of Charlestown, MA, and Helen Schaar of Cape Cod, MA, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Angela Cataldi, and siblings, Ann McLaughlin and Joseph McInnis.
Calling hours were held on Thursday June 7, 2018 from 6 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am in St. Mary’s Parish, 55 Warren St., Charlestown, MA. Burial will take place on Monday June 11th at 1:45 pm in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
