Mark J. Silva, 64, of New Bedford died Monday, June 4, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Joseph and Louise (Cambra) Silva, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was employed by Bridgewater Credit Union for many years until his retirement.
He loved spending time with his dog, Max.
He is survived by his cousin, Sandra Gaspar; his best friend, Susan Medeiros; and several other cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 10 AM in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett.
