FALL RIVER… Robert R. Souza, 76, of Fall River passed away Friday, June 1, 2018.
He was the husband of Mary G. (Gonsalves) Souza.
Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Frank M. and Mabel G. (Potter) Souza and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Mr. Souza was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a communicant of the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption and was a member of the VFW Post 486 in Fall River. An avid New England Sports fan, he also enjoyed playing pool.
Along with his wife, survivors include his step children: Casper C. Gray of Fall River, Brian K. Gray of Newport, Maryjane Gray of S. Kingstown and Lois Gray of Fall River; his children: Robert Souza of AL, Michael C. Souza of Fall River and Kimberly A. Souza of Fall River; his siblings: Joseph H. Gauthier of TX and Barbara-Ann Richards of AL; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Memorial Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 7 PM at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723. Calling hours will be held from 6 - 7 PM, prior to the service.
