Frank A. DePalma, 86, of Circle Road, Smithfield, died Friday, June 1, 2018 at Cortland Place in Greenville. He was the husband of the late Eleanor (Charbonneau) DePalma.
Born in Walpole, MA, a son of the late Peter and Antima (Melone) DePalma. He had lived in Smithfield for over 50 years previously living in North Providence. He had been a Printer with Hasbro Manufacturing in Pawtucket and later with Franklin Graphics in Providence before retiring. He later returned to work with the Town of Smithfield as A Jack of All Trades in the Smithfield Town Hall.
He had been a Volunteer Firefighter with the Geneva Fire Company in North Providence. He was a member of the Smithfield Elks Club, BPOE Number 2359. He was an avid New York Yankee Baseball Fan.
He is survived by his daughters: Elaine M. Richards and her husband, Joseph of Smithfield, Linda L. Cieciorka and her husband, Jay of Coventry, his grandchildren: Justine and Alyssa Richards, Timothy Cieciorka and his wife Samantha, Bryon Cieciorka and his wife Amanda and Matt Richards and his wife Christine and his four Great-Grandchildren, Jaxton, Aubree, Joseph and Hannah. He leaves his brother Domenic DePalma and a sister Rose Marie Gianardi both of North Providence. He also leaves his faithful friend Stan Davies.
His Funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be in Highland Park in Johnston. Visitation Tuesday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations made be made in Frank’s memory to the Smithfield Firefighters, PO Box 906, Greenville, RI 02828
