Our beloved mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Elaine D. (Mucci) Repucci passed away peacefully on May 31, 2018 at 95 years of age. Throughout her long life, Elaine was unfailingly generous, a friend to people of all ages, a fantastic party organizer, whip smart, exceptionally determined, and wholly dedicated to her family.
A resident of Medford, MA, Elaine will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Lynda Colangeli and her husband Enrico, her son Anthony Repucci and his wife Mary, her son Richard Repucci and his wife Celia, and her daughter Elaine Spencer and her husband Michael. Elaine will also be forever remembered by her treasured grandchildren, Deanna Capone and her husband Stephen, Gina Donnelly and her husband Mike, Rico Colangeli Jr., Michael Colangeli, Elaina Repucci, Julia Rooney and her husband Chris, Carmen Repucci, Dominic Repucci, and Maria Spencer as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Giavanna Capone, Catarina Capone, Stephen Capone, Amelia Donnelly, Mikey Donnelly, and Patrick Donnelly. She will also remain in the hearts of her niece Barbara Casarano and her husband Joe, her nephew Michael Reppucci and his wife Nancy, and her nephew Gerry Reppucci, as well as her sister, Vera Anderson.
Elaine was incredibly proud of her family and their accomplishments, but she had much to be proud of personally. A fearless, lifelong learner, Elaine attended nursing school at Youville School of Practical Nursing in her 50’s, did daily crosswords, loved opera, Italian and Chinese food, and enjoyed reading. Always eager to help others, Elaine sewed capes for military nurses and made soldier’s field jackets during World War II. Along with her husband, Anthony, she hosted summer barbecues at the Italian Home for Children in Jamaica Plain. Elaine was also a member of the Opera Club of Medford, secretary and treasurer of the South Medford Mother’s Club, serving the Medford community in various ways. In her younger years, she organized donations of clothing and food for those in need, wrote monthly letters to lepers in Hawaii, and even as she aged, Elaine cared for her family members with great love and affection. She will be dearly missed by her many friends and acquaintances.
Elaine was predeceased by her cherished husband of over 50 years, Anthony, her dearly loved parents Edith and Vincent Mucci, and her much-loved siblings Vincent Mucci, Rita DeBlasis and Jean Reppucci.
