LARUSSA, Mary C (Freni) 85, of South Boston, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Daughter of Joseph and Mary (Berlinghieri) Freni. Loving wife of the late Francis LaRussa, Sr. and cherished mother of Nicholas LaRussa, Joseph J. LaRussa and his wife Barbara, and Francis LaRussa, Jr.. Loving grandmother of James, Robert, and Joseph F. LaRussa. Caring sister of Anthony Freni and his late wife Anne. Mary emigrated from Itala, a small town in Sicily at age 14. She enjoyed her family, cooking, hosting and participating in family functions. She volunteered her time at St. Brigid church and school. Mary helped out in the cafeteria, classroom and fundraisers both while her children attended and after they graduated. She was a regular at the daily 7am Mass and the Saturday 4pm Mass.
Funeral from Casper Funeral Services, 187 Dorchester Street BOSTON on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 9:15AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Brigid Church, 841 Broadway at 10:00AM. Family will be accepting visitors on Sunday June 10, 2018 from 3PM-7PM. Entombment at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's name to St. Brigid Church, 841 East Broadway, Boston MA 02127.
