Ricky Noel Sanders, 63, of Tifton passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church in Tifton with the Rev. Edsel Young officiating. Mr. Sanders will be laid to rest at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton. The family will receive friends Monday, June 4, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be meeting at the residence of Tim and Carol Sanders, 140 Bussell Road in Tifton.
Brett Williams, Lance Williams, Larry McBrayer, Matt Lewis, Chase Hall and Danny Rowland will serve as pallbearers.
Born June 24, 1954 in Tift County, Mr. Sanders was the son of the late Annie Laura Barnes Sanders and the Rev. James Arthur Sanders. He was also preceded in death by one son, Jamey Richard Sanders, who passed away April 23, 2018. Before retiring, he was a detention officer with the Tift County Sheriff’s Department for 29 years. He loved God, his family and vacationing in the mountains of Tennessee.
Mr. Sanders is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jeanie Sharon Graham Sanders of Tifton; one son, Rick Sanders, Jr. of Tifton; one daughter, Stacey Bryant of Tallahassee, Florida; one brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Carol Sanders of Tifton; his mother-in-law, Mary M. Touchton Graham of Tifton; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patricia and Mitch Williams of Tifton; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
