Lawrence G. Richards, 93, of Berlin, passed away on Thursday May 31, 2018 at the St. Vincent de Paul Rehab and Nursing Center. He was born in Berlin on January 9, 1925 the son of Rene and Cecile (Rheaume) Richards and was a lifelong resident. He was a US Air Force Veteran and was the owner of Richards & Son Contracting. Lawrence also did sculpturing and art work. He was a former member of the Kiwanis Club of Berlin and was a member of the American Legion Post #36 in Berlin and the White Mountain Post # 2520 VFW in Berlin. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Androscoggin Valley Country Club.
Family includes his wife Phyllis (Blanchard) Richards of Berlin, NH; sons James Richards and wife Janet of Windamir, FL and David Richards of Berlin, NH: sister Rita Ahart of Vienna, VA; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Norman Richards.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 6, 2018 at 9:00 AM in the Chapel of the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH. Interment will be at a later date in the Russian City Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
