Josephine Anita Marchi, 93, of Greenville, died May 26, 2018 in Fatima Hospital.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late William and Victoria (Massei) Marchi. She had resided in Fairlawn before moving to Greenville in 1967. Josephine was a 1947 graduate of the St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing and Salve Regina University and a lifelong member of the St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing Alumni.
She was a registered nurse at the former St. Joseph Hospital in Providence and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence for forty years. She worked as a supervisor and as Employee Education Coordinator before her retirement in 1988.
She is survived by her nephew, Mark Marchi. She is predeceased by her brother, William J. Marchi, Jr. and her sister, Rose Stathe.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, Greenville. Burial will be private. Visitation respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society of RI, 931 Jefferson Boulevard, Suite 3304, Warwick, RI 02886.
