Therese C. Jobin, 95, of Woonsocket died Friday May 25, 2018 at St. Antoine Residence. She was the loving wife of the late Maurice W. Jobin. They were married on December 11, 1944 and shared over 67 years together until his passing in 2011.
Born in Woonsocket she was daughter of the late Philibert and Marie Anna (Tessier) Carmel. She was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket.
Mrs. Jobin was employed at Sadwins Company for a number of years.
She was a particularly talented seamstress and provided her services for many in the community.
Therese was a very nurturing, generous and loving person. She was blessed with the gift of song and shared her talent as a member of the St. Anne’s and St. Joseph’s parish choirs. She was intimately involved in her deep faith. Therese had a special place in her heart for animals and her love for dogs could always make her day.
She is survived by three sons Raymond Jobin (Claudette) of Johnston, Robert Jobin (Jacqueline) of Tiverton and Frank Jobin of Woonsocket. She was the mother of the late Marie Jeanne Freve and sister of the late Lucien Carmel. She is also survived by her grandchildren Wilfrid W. Freve III, Judith E. Freve-Reese and Justin P. Jobin and four great-grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Veronica Freve and is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday June 4, 2018 at 11:00 am in St. Antoine Chapel 10 Rhodes Ave. North Smithfield. Burial will be private.
