Obituary

Worcester: Angel Calcano, 64, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center University Campus surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 35 years Luz Nereida Cruz; 2 sons- Porfirio Lopez and Juan M. Ayala; 2 daughters- Janette Noyola and Beatriz Ayala; 9 grandchildren - Victoria, Cassandra, Israel, Isaac, Janelle, Veronica, Matteo, Malachi, and Bryanna; and his beloved dog Twinkie of 14 years, whom he loved dearly. Twinkie would sleep on his chest at night.

Angel, known by many of his family and friends as "Calcano" was born in Puerto Rico, son of Juanita Foseca. He worked as a farmer in Puerto Rico and in several different factories in Massachusetts. He also worked as a taxi driver for many years in New York City- the Bronx. He was a member of the Church of God in Worcester and he had a very strong faith, which got him through many of life's challenges. He enjoyed fishing, flea markets, and would often visit yard sales near the house. One of his hobbies was buying and reselling used cars. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
