BONINI, MARTA SUSANA passed peacefully at age 75 with grace and dignity on May 28.
Born on January 9, 1943 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Marta came to Boston for graduate studies and began a long career teaching mathematics at Roxbury Community College, leaving a legacy of thousands of students whose lives she touched. Marta’s many interests included dancing, music, animals, painting, poetry, jewelry-making, and interacting with her countless friends and colleagues.
She leaves her very dear friends, Kyrsis Rodriguez, and Dwayne James Baker, her beloved caregivers, Jeannette Martinez, Argelia Cruz and Claudia Ordonez, as well as her former colleagues with whom she shared a special bond. She is also survived by her many friends at the Cambridge Senior Center.
A memorial service is being planned. Donations in Marta’s memory should be sent to your local animal shelter.
