NATICK: Anne Elizabeth (Krebs) Hickey, 81, of Digren Road passed away on Saturday, May 26th peacefully in her sleep.
Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, Bernard E. Hickey on November 8, 2017.
Born in Natick, MA, Anne was the daughter of Rudolph J. and Ruth (Sunderland) Krebs.
Anne is survived by her loving children: Anne Marie Andrews and her husband Robert of Natick, Ellen Hickey and her husband Eric Michnovez of Boxboro, Patricia Hickey of Woburn, Margaret Sioui and her husband Daniel of Arlington Heights, Illinois and Michael Hickey of Peabody; loving grandchildren: Walter Andrews, Clark Andrews, Nina Michnovez, Nora Michnovez, Danielle Sioui, Joseph Sioui, Pavel Sioui and Christina Hickey; and her brother, Paul Krebs of Marlboro.
Anne was also predeceased her brother John Krebs and her sister MaryRuth Krebs.
Anne graduated Framingham State University, completing her dietician internship at the University of San Francisco. She was a registered dietician at the VA Hospital in Boston. She took a period of time off her hospital work, while raising her children and was employed at Wellesley Cooperative Nursery School. She returned to work as a dietician at Framingham Union Hospital.
Anne enjoyed gardening, skiing, and hiking. In retirement, she added swimming and volunteering as a SHINE counselor. Above all, she valued time with family and friends, especially her neighbors, her AMC hiking buddies, her Framingham State “Lunch Bunch,’ and her fellow “gym rats” at the Longfellow Sports Club. She was a life-long member of St. Patrick’s Church in Natick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 2 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Linus’ Church, 119 Hartford Street, Natick, MA 01760 from John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, Natick, MA 01760.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Friday, June 1st in John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, Natick, MA 01760.
