Gerald T. Wilkinson, age 67, of Fitchburg passed away May 27th at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in LaCrosse, WI, he was raised and educated in Colorado Springs, CO and went on to attend ITT Tech in Woburn, MA. He worked as a Network Engineer for the Department of Defense designing Information Technology Networks Worldwide. He was a Master carpenter and a member of the NRA. Beloved husband of Veronica Thompson (Friel). Father of Donna Scharaffa of Wakefield, Aurie Thompson of Fitchburg, and Amy and Joe Wilkinson of Grand Junction, CO. Son of Melba Wubben of Grand Junction, CO and the late Thomas M. Wilkinson. Brother of Cheryl Ritchie, Michelle Woodrich, David, Greg and Jeff Wilkinson all of Grand Junction, CO and the late Mark Wilkinson. Son in law of John and Linda Friel of Canton. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends invited to attend visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Tuesday June 5th from 4-6 pm. Burial private.
