Mary Lois Anderson Landreth, age 84, died Sunday, May 27, 2018 at her home in Water Valley, MS. She was born December 27, 1933 in Yalobusha County, MS to the late Robert and Francis Pauline Carter Anderson. Mary was an active and faithful member of First Pentecostal Church of Water Valley where she served as Church Secretary for many years. She enjoyed baking for church events, friends and family, her specialties being fried pies and peanut brittle. Mary dearly loved her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was the peacemaker - the glue that held the family together, and always doing anything she could to help others in need.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at First Pentecostal Church in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held at the church at 11:00 am on Friday, June 1, 2018 with Rev. Charles Compton officiating. Burial will be in the First Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Seven Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Lynette Landreth Pryor of Water Valley, MS; her grandchildren, Shelly Melton, Mollie Colvin, and Justin Colvin; ten great-grandchildren, Daniel Melton, Drew Melton, Drake Melton, Caramia Colvin, Braxton Colvin, Aliyana Bravo, Johnathan Bravo, Brooke Colvin, Lacy Colvin and Brice Colvin; and two great-great grandchildren, Stateum Lane Melton and Maddox Shane Melton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Landreth; and her daughters, Lois Janell White and Francis Marie Colvin.
