Obituary


Harold E. Hollis, 69, of Milan, NH passed away on May 24, 2018 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Rutland, VT on Oct. 29, 1948 the son of Clarence H. and Patricia A. (Guynup) Hollis and had lived in Keene, NH for many years and later in Portland, ME. He has resided in Milan for the past seven years. Harold was a US Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War. His lifelong employment was being a truck driver. He was a member of the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW and the Ryan – Scammon Post #36 American Legion in Berlin. In his earlier years, he played in a country & western band called the Tumbleweeds, which had been a back up band for Steven Tyler and the Rolling Stones, as well as other famous bands in the 1960’s.

He is survived by a son James W. Hollis, a daughter Jessica A. Hollis, siblings and a close friend Moe Boivin of Milan.

A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday July 14, 2018 at 1 PM at his home at 477 Milan Hill Road in Milan. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin & Gorham, NH.
