QUINEBAUG, CT – Rita Naperata, 84, formerly of Hyland Drive, died Friday, Nov. 11, in Oakwood Rehab & Nursing Center, Webster.
She leaves nephews and nieces.
She was born in Webster, the daughter of Walter and Martha (Rekowski) Napierata. She lived in Oregon and California before moving to Quinebaug in 1970. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1939.
She served in the WACS in World War II.
Miss Naperata worked as a secretary for aircraft companies on the West Coast, and then was a forms controller at Pratt-Whitney Aircraft Company in E. Hartford, retiring in 1983.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Donations are requested to the Salvation Army, Citadel Corps, 640 Main St., Worcester, MA 01608. Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, is directing the arrangements.
