Obituary

WEBSTER – Frank P. Kusek, 80, of 100 Thompson Road, died November 15 in Hubbard Regional Hospital.

He leaves his wife of 50 years, Mildred P. “Millie” (Makara) Kusek; a daughter, Elizabeth Murphy and her husband Dana of Charlton; a son, Peter Kusek and his wife Priscilla of Webster;
4 grandchildren, Michael and Matt Murphy and Lauren and Nicholas Kusek; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his brother Chester Kusek.

He was born in Webster, the son of Steven and Helen (Nieszczezewski) Kusek, and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Bartlett High School.

He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, and was awarded a purple heart for wounds received in action at Okinawa.

Mr. Kusek first worked for 28 years at the American Optical Company in Southbridge and then at Wright Line in Worcester, retiring in 1990.

He was a member of St. Joseph Basilica. He enjoyed ice fishing, golfing and bowling.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 19, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. A calling hour will be from 8:15 to 9:15 AM Saturday, Nov. 19, at the funeral home. The family suggests that donations be made to St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA 01570
