Ronald J. Ferullo passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, May 23rd. He was 75. Born and raised in East Boston, he was the son of the late Alphonse L. and Dorothy (John) Ferullo. He moved to Medford with his family as a teenager and graduated from Medford High School. Throughout high school and his early adult years, Ronnie was a great athlete and was a much sought after player in local men’s softball teams. He was also a great racquetball player. For over 38 years, Ronnie worked with the Polaroid Corporation. During his long career, he worked his way up the corporate ladder through hard work and solid results. He worked in work force development and finished in human resource management. Throughout the years, he not only studied for the company, but developed programs to train employees, recruit future leaders and break ground in integrating the workforce. In his retirement, Ronnie enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandchildren, he loved spending time with his friends and looked forward to winters in Florida.
The beloved husband of Carol A. (Freda) Ferullo, he was a devoted father to Wendy Ferullo of Medford, Michele Hughes of North Andover, and Michael Ferullo of Jupiter, FL. Ronnie was a loving grandfather to Kayleigh, Cole, and Riley Hughes and Brielle Ferullo. He was also the dear brother of Daniel Ferullo of Lexington and the late John Ferullo.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, May 30th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Tuesday,
4 - 8 PM.
