Obituary

Neal L. Cluff, age 57, a lifelong resident of the Tewksbury area, passed away at home in Lowell on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, after a lengthy illness and surrounded by family.

Born in Lowell on June 10, 1960, Neal was the son of the late Richard and Janet (McCormack) Cluff, Sr. Neal was predeceased by his brother, Richard Cluff, Jr.

Neal grew up in Tewksbury, attending the former St. William’s Parochial School and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1978. He was the President and CEO of Black and Blue Demolition and Salvage, Inc., established in 2003 and the focus of his life’s work.

Neal is survived by his brother, Daniel Cluff, and his wife Nancy (Tremblay) of Townsend; his sister Meaghan Ellis of Redlands, CA; two nieces, Kerri Taylor of Billerica and Abigail Ellis and her life partner Chris Middleton of Arroyo Grande, CA; three nephews, Scott and Daniel Cluff, Jr., both of Townsend and Walter Ellis and his wife Carley (Webb) Ellis of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; and numerous aunts and uncles, including his beloved aunt, Meredith Cohen and uncle Gerald McCormack of Tewksbury, as well as many close friends and business associates.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 29, from 4-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, immediately followed by prayer service to be held at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Lahey Health at Home, 800 West Cummings Park, Suite 5000, Woburn, MA 01801. Interment will be at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
