Obituary

Wieslaw “Jack” Kowalski (2/18/1951-5/20/2018)
Naples, FL

W. Jack Kowalski of Naples, Florida was born on February 18th, 1951 in Augsburg, Germany and passed away on May 20th, 2018 in Naples, Florida.

He was a beloved husband to Deborah, loving father to Christopher and a recent father-in-law to Erin. His parents Anna and Kazimierz, and sister Bozenna preceded him in death.

Jack was a Boston (Dorchester) native for 65 years who was deeply involved in local, city, and state government, employed by the City of Boston and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Over the years, he worked tirelessly on campaigns for candidates running for political office. Above all, Jack was a devoted family man whose two favorite moments were cheering on Christopher at baseball games and star gazing the night sky with the love of his life Deborah.

He will be lovingly remembered for his spontaneity and his sense of humor. He had the unique ability to “be in the moment” and a passion for helping others. His spiritual connection granted him serenity and peace - taking it one day at a time.

Jack’s ability to be at peace with his upcoming passing was a true inspiration to all. His outlook focused on the acceptance of life on life’s terms. His legacy of always helping others before himself will always live on through those who he inspired.

He optimizes Bob Marley’s quote that “the greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.”

Jack taught us all to live life fully, and he will continue to be a beacon of hope along the way. His memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 26th at 6847 Lantana Bridge Road, Apartment #203, Naples, FL 34109 between the hours of 3:00pm-7:00pm.

A local service will be held at Casper Funeral Home located at 187 Dorchester Street in South Boston on May 31, 2018 from 4-8 PM.
