Obituary

Albert Torro passed away peacefully at his son Stevens home in
Massachusetts on May 22, 2018. He had family by his side.
Albert was born in Berlin, NH on February 23, 1925. He was the son of
the late Dominic Torro and Nicolina (Dalphonse) Torro. Albert, at an early age,
left school to join the Army. He served from May
of 1943-January of 1946. He was sent to Fort Devens, in Ayer
Massachusetts for his basic training. He then continued his training in
Louisiana and Alabama. He was deployed to the Phillippines, Australia,
New Guinea, and Japan. There were many nights he sat with his sons
family around the table at the family home telling stories and answering
questions about his time overseas.

After his time serving his country, Albert went to work for The Brown
Paper Company located in Berlin, NH from 1946-1987. His duties took
place at the Cascade Mill in Cascade. He worked as a laborer helping with
day to day operations of the mill. Albert then became a machine and press
operator which brought him to different areas and departments in the mill.
He was a great worker and was devoted to each job that was handed to
him. In September of 1972, while working his shift, there was a terrible
accident where Albert was badly injured, which resulted in the loss of his
right leg. He was quickly surrounded by family. After a period of time
spent at a Berlin hospital, he was transferred to a Boston hospital for his
recovery and rehabilitation. There are so many fond memories and stories
told by the family about their time in Boston. The worst time of their lives
was turned into beautiful memories because of their love for Albert. After
his accident Albert returned to work at the mill and retired in 1987.

After his retirement, Albert spent his time with his family. He also enjoyed
fixing anything and everything in and around their home. This included
carpentry, plumbing, automotive work on his cars, etc. Many hours were spent in the
basement in his work area. If anyone needed a "handyman", Albert was their first
phone call. And he was there right away. Albert also enjoyed day trips with
Simone and Steven anywhere and everywhere. This always included a picnic lunch
made by his Simone and fond memories were remembered for years and years.

Albert is predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years,
Simone (Perreault) Torro, as well as his son Roger Torro.
Albert has also lost his sisters Catherine Morin, Theresa Landry, brother
Joe Torro, and Fleury Torro, as well his his nephew David Landry and
sister in law, Doris Perreault.

Albert is survived by his devoted son Steven and wife Amy, of Tewksbury,
MA, his daughters, Susan Demars and her husband Peter of Dover, NH.,
also Gesele Scully and her husband George, of Rye, NH. Albert has also
left his loving sisters Dee Torro of Watertown, MA, Mary Savchick and
Viola Roy of Berlin, NH. His granddaughters Brittany Simone, Alexis
Lucia, Maura Sullivan and her husband Chris Sullivan, and Tyler Demars.
Albert is also survived by Simones loving brother Benoit Perreault as well
as his life partner of 17 years Bea Quesnel of Enfield, CT.

His love for his "Little Girls", Brittany Simone and Alexis Lucia was
unwavered. The time spent at the "Big Green House" were plentiful and
the memories will never be forgotten. The hours spent fixing and building
things, playing in the snow, trips to Walmart and his beloved Dollar Tree
were suchunforgetable memories. The girls always loved hearing Memere
and Pepere say, "whatever you want, just put it in the carriage."
The stories of Maura and Tyler growing up were fun to listen to. Mauras
fiesty personality and Tylers laid back personality were so different, but
listening to Pepere tell his version of the events was very entertaining and
so heartfelt. Albert is also survived by his first great-grandchild Patrick
Peter Sullivan.
