FALL RIVER – Helen F. (Santos) Travassos, age 90 of Fall River, passed away at home with her loving family by her side. Born in Medford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Manuel & Maria Diamentina (Faria) Santos and the wife of the late Francisco S. Travassos. Prior to retiring, Helen worked as a machine operator for Demison Mfg. and she was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church.
She is survived by her 2 sons: Frank Travassos Jr. and Manny Travassos (wife Cindy) all of Milford, MA; 2 granddaughters: Lindsay Rando (husband Chris) & Kaitlyn Travassos; 1 great granddaughter: Hailey Rando; 2 sisters: Ana Dell Arciprete of Malden, MA & Theresa Martin of OK; brother in law: Raul Travassos of Stoughton, MA; sister in law: Gilberta Travassos Soares of Somerville, MA; several nieces & nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday here at 7:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Trinity Church at 9:00 A.M. Entombment in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Calling hours Friday 5-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
