Alma L. (Viers) Rushia, age 47, a lifelong resident of Norton, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Rhode island Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late David T. Rushia, to whom she was wed for twenty-six years at the time of his death in 2016.
Born in Attleboro, MA on December 9, 1970, she was a loving daughter of the late Harold K. and Maryann (Salvas) Viers.
A dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, Alma grew up and was educated in Norton. She loved spending time with family and friends, cooking, decorating, and especially spending time on beautiful Cape Cod beaches.
She is survived by her devoted children Stephen T. Rushia of Attleboro, Shelbi E. Rushia of Foxboro and Jacob D. Rushia of Norton. She was dear sister of Vicki L. Roderick of Attleboro, Lisa K. Glasscock of Attleboro, and the late Carolyn A. Couture, Kenneth W. “Butch” Viers, Debora A. Winsor and Joseph A. Viers. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Sunday, May 27th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
Burial will be held at a later date at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.
