Irene D. (Murphy) Pynn, 75, of Whitman, passed peacefully at her home of 51 years. She was the wife of 45 years to the late Woodrow F. Pynn, Sr.
She was born in Brockton, daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Gravlin) Murphy, mother of Richard A McKeague, Woodrow F. Pynn, Jr., and Diane (Pynn) Cesarini. She was also the mother of the late Mark E. McKeague and sister of the late Louise Nilsen and Maryellen Murphy; also many grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, as well as many friends.
She was a graduate of Brockton High School, lass of 1960. Irene worked as a school bus driver for the town of Whitman for 32 years, a member of both the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Knights of Columbus Daughters of Isabella.
Irene loved spending time with her family and she enjoyed many trips and cruises, as well as her trips to Aruba with her husband and friends.
Her funeral services will be held on Friday May 25th at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral Mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the St James Cemetery, Whitman. Visitation will be on Thursday May 24th from 4:00-8:00PM.
