Obituary

Raymond Frank Lemos, 90, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 20, 2018 surrounded by his family at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Sophie K. (Krones) Lemos.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Manuel Lemos and Loretta (Jacob) Dusablon, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.

He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church.

Mr. Lemos was formerly employed as a machinist at Continental Screw Company for many years.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Fort Phoenix Post 2892 in Fairhaven.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Paula Lemos of Dartmouth, and Laurie Dickinson and her husband Vincent of Lake Oswego, Oregon; and two granddaughters, Amanda Nichols and her husband Matthew and Nicole Gauthier.

He was the brother of the late Richard Lemos.

His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday May 23, 2018 at 10 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 186 Cross Rd., Dartmouth. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
