Stephen A. Ridlon, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 62 years of age.
Stephen was born in Boston on June 1, 1955, a son of the late Arthur T. "Bud" Ridlon and Eleanor R. (Abbott) Ridlon. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1973. Stephen worked as a mason and laborer for many years for several construction companies in the area. He enjoyed the quality times spent with his children and loved his grandchildren above all else.
Stephen is the devoted father of Stephen J. Ridlon and his fiancé Lani O'Neill of Everett, Edward J. Ridlon and his wife Cortney Webb of Biddeford, Maine and Jennifer M. Ridlon and her companion Alex Lopez of Everett. He is the former husband of Carol Skeffington. He is the loving Papa to Sophia, Amelia, Kyleigh, Addison, Aaron, Alex, and the late Alice Rose. He is the beloved brother of Ellen Gallagher and her husband Ed of Charlestown, Doreen MacCormack and her husband Mark of Charlestown, Maureen Ridlon of Charlestown, Thomas Ridlon and his wife Meghan of Windham, New Hampshire and Karen Ridlon of Charlestown. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Stephen's visiting hours on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. with his Funeral Service at 7:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private.
