In loving memory of the late Frances Ann Roberts, of Charlestown, Mass. who entered into eternal life after a long illness on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at her home in Charlestown surrounded by her family. She was 71 years of age.
Frances was born in Boston on May 30, 1946, a daughter of the late Charles Carvell and Elizabeth (Murphy) Carvell. She was a lifelong Charlestown resident and graduated from Charlestown High School. Frances worked as a server at Martin’s Townhouse in Boston for 10 years and as a mailroom clerk at State Street Bank in Boston for 10 years. She was a sweet person who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening, reading, and caring for animals.
Frances was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Roberts of Charlestown. She is the loving sister of Charlene Sweeney of Charlestown, James Carvell and his wife Eileena of Buena Park, California, Donald Carvell and his partner Donna Chapman of Charlestown and the late Stanley Verrill, Robert Verrill and Elizabeth Merrill. She is the loving aunt and grand aunt to many nieces and nephews. Fur mother to the late Shep, Leo, Buffy, Petey and Bashie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Frances Funeral on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Frances visiting hours will be on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
