HOWARD R. MOOG of Boston, died on Tuesday, Nov. 15th at the Emerald Court Nursing Center in Norwood after a long illness. He was 82. Mr. Moog was born, raised and educated in Roxbury. He then lived in Hull for many years before moving back to Boston. He was an electrician at the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy and also during the Bethlehem Steel and General Dynamics years. After his retirement from the shipyard, he worked with the grounds crew at Boston University.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Philpin) Moog of Boston, and was the father of Susan Shumaker of Hingham, William Moog and Howard Moog, Jr. both of Hull and the late Robert Moog. Brother of Virginia Lunghi of Springfield, John Moog of Chicago and Nancy Lourenco of Norwood. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The funeral services and interment are to be private. Visiting hours and flowers omitted by request.
