Richard Emerson Miller, 75, of Tifton passed away Friday, May 18, 2018, at his residence, A graveside service will be held for Mr. Miller at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2018, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.
Born October 4, 1942 in New Salem, Pennsylvania, Mr. Miller was the son of the late Theodore “Ted” Miller and Ethel Kemp Miller. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jack, Ted, Bob and Lonny Miller; and two sisters, Cherie Claridge and Willa Miller. He was a self-employed machinist and a veteran of the United States Army with an honorable discharge. He had lived in Ohio most of his life, but had lived in Tifton the last 14 years.
Mr. Miller is survived by one daughter Deanie Miller of Tifton; one brother, Timothy Miller of Ohio; two sisters, Edith Heiber and Linda Miller, both of Ohio; three grandchildren, Joshua Allgood, Tisha Dixon and Steven Metzger; and seven great-grandchildren.
