John V. "Ditto" Rodriguez, a resident of Woburn and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was 61 years of age.
Ditto was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras on January 15, 1957, a son of Juan V. Rodriguez and Lidia (Carias) Rodriguez. Ditto immigrated to the United States with his family in 1966 and settled in Charlestown. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated at St. Francis De Sales Parochial School and graduated from Charlestown High School. He was always know for his love of art and how precise he could draw anything. He cared about his family immensely throughout his life and was given the nickname Ditto in Charlestown for his quickness and speed on his feet during sporting events.
Ditto is the beloved son of Juan V. Rodriguez and the late Lidia (Carias) Rodriguez. He is the devoted brother of Silvia Rodriguez and her husband George of Stoneham, Alexis Garcia and her husband Luis of Woburn, Carlos Rodriguez of Melrose, Julia Rodriguez of Reading and Waldina Cameron and her husband David of Woburn. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ditto's visiting hours on Tuesday morning, May 22, 2018 from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. followed by his Funeral Service at 11 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
