Obituary

Ursula J. (Evans) LeBlanc, 91, of Franklin formerly of Lynn died May 16 in the Atria Assisted Living in Franklin. She was the wife of the late Joseph Leo LeBlanc for 65 years until his death in January 2017.

Born in Lynn, January 23, 1927, the daughter of the late Harry and Josephine (Hogan) Evans, Mrs. LeBlanc was raised and had lived in Lynn for most of her life.

She was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1945 and had been a member for 60 years of the High School Reunion Committee.

Mrs. LeBlanc had performed clerical duties at the Pentagon in Washington D.C., Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and as a civil contractor for the Air Force at the G.E. Plant in Lynn.

Ursula had been a member of the Ladies Sodality of St. Pius V Church in Lynn.

She enjoyed antiquing, vacationing at Myrtle Beach, going to the ocean and above all taking care of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Michael C. LeBlanc of Hudson, NH., Sean E. LeBlanc of Falmouth, Cheryl A. Lagace of Plymouth, Karen M. Bennett of Annapolis, MD and Edward C. LeBlanc of Lynn.

She is also survived by her siblings, Elizabeth Healey of Woburn and Robert Evans of Pepperell. She was the sister of the late Maureen LeGault, Elaine Evans, Lucille Powers and Kenneth Evans.

She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, May 25 from the Ginley Funeral of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:00 followed by a funeral mass in St. Jude’s Church, Norfolk at 10:00.

Burial will be in Norfolk Cemetery.

Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Parish, P.O. Box 305, Norfolk, MA 02056.
