Louis W. “Mickey” Golen
Proprietor of A-1 Sewer Service

TEWKSBURY: Louis M. “Mickey” Golen, age 73, a lifelong Tewksbury resident, passed away at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.

Born in Lowell on May 3, 1945, he was the son of the late Walter Golen and the late Cecilia “Sally” (Reed) Golen.

Mickey was raised in Tewksbury, and attended Tewksbury Schools.

Prior to his retirement, he owned and operated A-1 Sewer and Title 5 Service of Tewksbury for 30 years.

When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed tinkering with classic cars especially his 1956 Chevy Coupe. In addition he loved attending antique car shows.

He is survived by two children, Chad L. Golen and his wife Aimee (French), of Hudson, NH and Carrie A. Golen, of Nashua, NH; three grandchildren, Shane, Kali, and Taigen Golen; his former wife, Connie M. (Carroll) Golen, of Chelmsford, his sister-in-law, Alice M. (Farrell) Golen, of Tewksbury; also many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mickey was the brother of the late Walter F. Golen, Jr., and Phyllis L. Button.

Calling hours are Monday, May 21, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Relatives and friends are invited to meet on Tuesday, May 22, at 11 a.m. at the Tewksbury Congregational Church, 10 East St., Tewksbury for his funeral services. Interment will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Tewksbury Congregational Church, 10 East St., Tewksbury, MA 01876.
