Obituary

Marilou Cashman, 81 of Natick, died Thursday, May 17 2018.

Born in Natick and a proud lifelong resident she was the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Branagan) Cashman.

Miss Cashman began her career of teaching at Ashland High School as the business teacher until 1967. From there she moved into counseling at the Natick High School. She retired in 1990 as Director of Guidance at Natick High School.

She was a Director of the Big Brother and Big Sister Organization of Metro West for many years and was a former President of the Mass Guidance Association. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St Patrick Parish, enjoyed photography, organizing the Annual ‘Squash End “Block, entertaining friends and spending time with her family. Marilou had many talents, she loved to do woodworking, cooking, and anything that had to do with gathering friends. Marilou was also an avid Patriots and Red So fan.

Marilou attended the Natick School System graduating from Natick High School in 1954, received her B.S. Degree Cum Laude in Teaching from Salem State College and later earned her Master’s Degree from Framingham State College. She enjoyed many years of helping her students become successful and went above and beyond her call of duty. There was not a person she would turn away if they needed help. She was a great listener and had a big heart. She was involved in many organizations that helped children, mostly without any fanfare. Marilou truly enjoyed being selfless and helping others.

She is survived by many nieces and a nephew Lisa Natoli and her husband Ron of Ashland, Karen Przybyl and husband Greg of Tewksbury, Michael Cashman of Medway, Lori Clooney and her late husband Stephen of Natick, Linda Young and husband Robert of Natick, Dawn LaLime and her husband Andrew of Natick, Anne Cashman of Holliston, great nieces and nephews; Anthony and Frank Natoli, Sean Young, Brody Cashman, Katy Clooney, and Robert Lalime.

She was the sister of the late Robert F Cashman and Richard A Cashman.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral on Monday May 21, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick’s Church at 10:00 A.M.

Visiting hours are Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M.

Interment St Patrick Cemetery.
