Dennis B. Cross, 78 of Manchester, NH died Thursday May 17, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a period of declining health. Dennis was born in Manchester on October 1, 1939, a son of the late Clarence and Ruth (Boyden) Cross. He resided in Londonderry for many years before moving to Manchester in 1999. Dennis graduated from Pinkerton Academy (Class of 1957) in Derry, NH. He later joined the US Air Force where he served from 1957 – 1961. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by LaMontagne Builders in Bedford, NH. Dennis enjoyed playing Cribbage, other board and card games, and was an avid NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his loving companion of 40 years, Irene Pinet of Manchester, his daughter, Kelly Cross of Manchester, and by his brother, Kenneth Cross of Liverpool, NY. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and a sister in law, Doris Cross of Liverpool, NY. He was predeceased by his brother, Russell Cross and his wife, Elizabeth.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Friday May 25, 2018 from 5 – 7 pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Graveside services with military honors were held on Saturday May 26th at 11:00am at Glenwood Cemetery, Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a veteran’s charity of one’s choice.
