Jesse Garcia Aragon, passed away on May 16, 2018 at the age of 74.
Jesse was born in Ventura, California on December 25, 1943. He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Esther Aragon; brother Johnny Aragon; sisters Carmen Martinez and Virginia Lucero.
He grew up in Ventura County and attended schools in both El Rio, California and Santa Paula, California. Jesse joined the Army and proudly served his Country in the Vietnam War. After the Vietnam War, he was honorably discharged and returned back to Ventura County. Over the years Jesse served shortly as a Police Officer with the Port Hueneme Police Department and then opened his own branch as an agent/broker with State Farm Insurance in Santa Paula, California.
Jesse enjoyed singing and performing all genres of karaoke music. He love spending time with his large extended family. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran and you could always catch him wearing his red Vietnam Veteran baseball cap with pride. He loved listening to mariachi music and was a longtime fan of the San Francisco Giants baseball team.
Jesse is survived by his sons, Jess Aragon (Gina), Joseph Aragon and Kevin Aragon; his brothers Ralph Aragon, Raymond Aragon, Richard Aragon (Julie), Art Aragon (Gloria); his sisters Mary Cortez (Richard) and Helen Mosqueda, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The Aragon family would like to thank the staff at Clear View Convalescent Center in Gardena, California for the excellent care they provided for Jesse over the past few years.
Family and friends are invited to Funeral Services to be held Saturday June 2, 2018 at 11am in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street Ventura. Interment will immediately follow with Military Honors in Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery, Oxnard.
