Ronald E. "Ron" Novak, born September 15th, 1943 passed away on May 17th, 2018 after a two-year battle with colon cancer. Ron was born in Chicago Illinois to father Joseph William Novak and mother Susan Marie Napolitano with sister Nancy Ellen Novak Bardecker.
He leaves behind his loving wife Linda Novak of six years, two children from a previous marriage, Amy Novak Rauch and Mike Novak, and grandkids Tyler and Tristan Rauch, and Brooklyn and Marissa Novak. Ron was a hard-working dedicated operator who loved going to work daily. He worked throughout L.A. and Orange County and worked as a union steward and business agent for Local 12. Ron was a proud 51 year member of IUOE. He loved fishing, dove hunting, and enjoyed his trips to Alaska and Cancun. Local 12 gave him a wonderful life which allowed him to retire at age 57. Ron was a proud Freemason and a member of the Moose Lodge. He loved and cared about his many friends and family. Ron wants you all to "celebrate life because it's fleeting."
Ron would ask that you all consider making a donation to the cancer center of Santa Barbara in his memory. The family would like to thank the physicians and staff at Sansum Clinic and Ridley-Tree Cancer Center for their tireless efforts in sustaining Ron's life. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 25th at 2pm at Redemption Church located at 190 E. El Roblar Drive in Ojai.
