George Foley, 96, of Derry, NH, passed away Monday May 14, 2018 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Manchester, NH on July 29, 1921, a son of the late Stephen and Sarah (Moule) Foley. He had been a resident of Derry since 1950, formerly living in Litchfield, NH and Manchester. Mr. Foley proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. He owned and operated Foley Masonry and later started Triangle Chemical Toilets in Derry which is now Triangle Portable Services. He was a member of the American Legion Lester Chase Post #9 in Derry.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol Chase and her husband Henry of Derry; four grandchildren, Stephen Chase and his wife Michelle of Derry, Mark Chase and his wife Susan of Hudson, NH, Pamela Philbrick and her husband Jay of Derry, and Christine Dustin of Derry; three great grandchildren, Jessica Dustin, Tanor Chase, and Samantha Chase; two great great granddaughters, Ashley Dustin and Lillyana Baez; two great great great grandchildren, Chase and Anna Nalen. He was predeceased by his wife Irene D. (Kent) Foley and a daughter, Sr. Elias delourdes (Joyce Foley) of the Carmilite Order in Fall River.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, May 20th from 3 – 6pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, May 21st at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry. The burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery in Londonderry.
