Edith E. (Dundon) Vandine died on Sunday, November 13, 2005 at her home in Eliot Me. She was 89 years old. Born and raised in Boston, Edith was a graduate of Girls High School in Boston. Mrs. Vandine was a former employee of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute where she worked as a tumor registrar. She lived in Allston for many years before moving to Waltham and then to Salem NH. Mrs. Vandine had lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Maine for the past 6 years. The beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Vandine, she was the loving mother of Jayne E. Zannini and her husband Robert of Eliot ME and J. Douglas Vandine and his wife Bing of Newark CA. Sister of James Dundon of Seguin TX and the late Walter Dundon, Alma Reardon, Elizabeth Collins and Dorothy Hutchins. Cherished grandmother of Stacey and Shelley Akerstrom, Karen, Robert JR and Steven Zannini, Gretchen Clarke, Simon, Peter and Jo Cheryl Kierulf. Also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue Needham on Thursday November 17th at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment at Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
