Obituary

James A. Patete 75, of Franklin, died suddenly, Monday May 14, 2018 at Milford Regional Medical Center shortly after his arrival. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (DeLuca) Patete, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.

Born March 13, 1943 in Franklin, a son of the late James N. and Flamminia (Capaldo) Patete, he was a lifelong Franklin resident.

He was raised and educated in Franklin, was a graduate of Franklin High School and continued his education at Northeastern University. James worked as a master plumber and was the owner of Patete Plumbing & Heating of Franklin.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, Cape Cod and boating.

“Jim” was a member of the “Honey Dew Crew” and the St. Anthony’s and Columbus Society.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Tony N. Patete and his wife Gina of East Bridgewater and Timothy J. Patete of Uxbridge and 2 grandchildren, Anthony & Ava Patete.

Also surviving is his brother in law, Jack DeLuca, former Mendon Fire Chief and a sister in law Phyllis Ablondi of Milford.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass Saturday May 19th, at 10AM in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Square Franklin. His interment will be held privately.

Calling hours are Friday at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 4-8PM.
