Laurette Blanche Messier, age 93, of Manchester, NH, died peacefully on May 13. Mrs. Messier was the widow of Louis J. Messier.
Mrs. Messier was born on September 8, 1924 in Manchester, NH, the daughter of Anna (Laliberte) and Joseph Mathieu. Mrs. Messier was always an energetic and lively person with a mind of her own. She had a long career in the banking industry. She served many years as an officer of the Manchester Chapter of the Association Canado-Americaine and also was very active with the Southside Chapter 4101 of AARP where she at different times served as President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
She is survived by her six children, Richard Messier and his wife Judith Lambert of Bedford; Philip Messier; Pauline Lareau and her husband George of Manchester; Denise Paquette; Suzanne and John Perley of Laconia; Linda Drew of Manchester; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Arthur, Treffle, and Robert Mathieu and two sisters, Yvette Chouinard and Lucille Coutu.
Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A private family service will be held. Burial will be in the family lot at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Manchester.
