William J. Hebert, 86 of Birch Road, Greenville, died Saturday, May 13, 2018 at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care in Providence. He was the husband of Constance M. (Paquin) Hebert. They had been married for 58 years.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Aime and Melina (Cardin) Hebert. He served in the US AirForce during Korea. He had lived in Smithfield since 1966 and had previously lived in North Providence. Bill was an asbestos worker at various local companies and was a member of Local #31, Providence for over 50 years. He enjoyed golfing.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Michelle Cugno and her husband, Henry of Coventry and Paula Lake and her husband, Willian of Centreville, Virginia, and his six grandchildren: Katie, Jack and Nick Lake and Nicole, Michael and Amanda Cugno.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Avenue, Greenville. Burial with Military Honors will be in the RI Veteran’s Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Wednesday 4-6pm.
