July 16, 1952 – May 11, 2018
Peter passed away peacefully at Mass General on May 11, 2018 after a hard fought, 7 year battle with Multiple Myeloma. Judy, His beloved wife of 32 years was by his side.
Peter grew up in Sunderland MA. His parents were Peter S. August & Mary Toth August.
Peter was a long term resident of Tewksbury, where he raised his family. He moved to Methuen in 2012 & met many new friends in his beautiful retirement community.
Peter graduated from Frontier Regional High School and attended Lowell Tech. He retired from UPS when his health declined.
His true passion was photography. He especially loved to photograph sporting events. Prior to digital photography he had his own color processing dark room. He would photo youth & high school football, baseball, softball & field hockey games. He always had a camera in his hand! His legacy is all his photos of family members & athletes.
Peter embraced his family and was a loving husband, proud father, uncle, coach and grandfather. He found much happiness and excitement traveling and cruising around the globe with friends and family. He was his happiest on a cruise ship!
Many people knew Peter as the person to go to when a mechanic was needed, and he took great pride in helping others.
Peter will be greatly missed by his devoted and loving wife Judy August. His two sons, Sons, Adam Fuller & his wife Hope of Huntington, WV and Luke Fuller and his wife Cassi of Gray, ME. His Grandchildren who were his very special buddies; Jack, Aidan and Hazel.
The family would like to thank the medical teams at Mass General & Lowell General Cancer Center for such exceptional care.
Calling hours are Thursday, May 17, from 4-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. His funeral procession will begin on Friday, May 18, at 10:30 a.m. followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
