Neal Eugene Watson, 83, of Omega passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Jack Perrin officiating. Mr. Watson will be laid to rest at Omega Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, May 14, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Craig Harrell, Roy Harper, Ricky Harper, Jeff Fulgum, Randy Rowan and William Barker will serve as pallbearers.
Born August 31, 1934 in Colquitt County, Mr. Watson was the son of the late Eugene Jefferson Watson and Bessie Lee Roberson Watson. Before retiring, he worked as a mechanic for the City of Tifton. He was a two-year veteran of the United States Army and was of the Methodist faith.
Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Bonnie Mae Harper Watson of Omega; two sons, Roy Watson of Atlanta and Danny Rowan of Omega; two daughters and one son-in-law, Cyndi Warren of Atlanta and Denise and David Barber of Omega; one sister, Mary Harrell of Omega; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
