GILMANTON, IW-----Jane Arlene Provencal, 74, of Stage Road, died on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Belknap County Nursing Home, Laconia.
Jane was born on August 10, 1943 in Gloucester, Mass. the daughter of the late Alden W. and Dorothy I. (Thomas) Witham.
Jane worked for Pittsfield Weaving, Laconia Shoe Shop, Easter Seals and was auntie to neighborhood kids. Jane received the NH Unsung Hero Award. She was a member of the Gilmanton IW Church and the Our Lady of Lourdes, of Pittsfield.
Jane enjoyed taking care of children, painting, taking pictures, crafts, collecting things, sewing and going to church. She was always willing to help others.
Jane is survived by her husband of fifty five years, John Provencal, of Gilmanton IW; two daughters, Christine White, of Bristol and Carol Hodgkins, of Gilford; two sons, William Provencal of, TX and George Provencal, of Gilmanton; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Lockwood Donovan, David White, Lela Hodgkins, Andrew Provencal, Matthew Provencal, Felicia Provencal, Danny Provencal and Connor Lemay; three great grandchildren, Hannah and Logan Donovan and Jaxxen Sanborn; five brothers, Allen Witham, Alden Witham, John Witham, Kenny Witham and Peter Witham; three sisters, Dottie Bowler, JoAnn Holbrook, Cindy Donley and several nephews and nieces.
There will be no calling hours.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11:00am at the Gilmanton Community Church, 497 Province Rd. Gilmanton NH 03237.
Burial will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilmanton IW, NH, following the luncheon.
