Marion Louise Anderson (Ruggles) of Chelmsford, MA, formally of Winchester, MA joined her beloved Jesus in heaven. She is survived by her loving children, Nancy Burns and her husband Thomas of Westford, Carol Allan and her husband Steven of Buda, TX, Michael Anderson of Chelmsford, David and his wife Karen Anderson of Chelmsford, and Jeanne Allen and her husband Ronald of Lancaster, MA. Marion is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Harold (Andy) Anderson, as well as her son Richard Anderson of Winchester and Arlington. She is the beloved grandmother of Julia, Patrick and Michael Burns; Brooke, Heather and Scott Allan; Kelly, Shannon and Kaitlyn Anderson; and Samantha and Cassandra Allen. Marion was born and raised in Brighton, Massachusetts. She attended classes at Emmanuel College and received her Masters in Education from Boston College. Family and faith were always at the center of her life. She raised her family in the Christian faith and served as a communicative member of St. Eulalia’s Church in Winchester and later at St. Mary’s in Chelmsford. Marion was always an active and passionate member of many charitable organizations and causes including the Winchester Garden Club, the Right to Life movement, prison ministries, the Vietnamese Refugee Assistance program, and Eucharistic ministries. In addition to being an avid reader, Marion enjoyed traveling all over Europe, and particularly enjoyed her visit to the Holy Land in Israel. Marion will be dearly missed by those who knew her, loved her wit, her charm, and her love for family. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather at the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Tues. May 15 from 5-8PM and again on Wed.
