Raymond A. Dumas, 97, of Woonsocket died Saturday April 21, 2018 at Woonsocket Health Center. He was the husband of the late Gladys M. (O’Rourke) Dumas. They were married for over 40 years at the time of her passing in 1986.
Born and raised in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Adelard and Marie-Anne (Beaudet) Dumas. Ray was a resident of Woonsocket for most of his life. During his retirement years he lived in Colorado, South Carolina and Arizona.
Mr. Dumas was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Air Corps during WWII.
Ray was employed by Raytheon Corporation for over 35 years before retiring.
Ray gave of his time as an umpire with the East Woonsocket Little League. He enjoyed camping on Cape Cod and in the Myrtle Beach area.
Ray is survived by two sons James Dumas and his wife Lori of Woonsocket and Jeffrey Dumas and his wife Lisa of North Smithfield. He was the brother of Theresa Nault of Woonsocket. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
In accordance with Ray’s wishes all services are private. Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
