Mary H. Thomas, 89, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, November 14 2005 at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, November 16, 2005, at Calvary Baptist Church, Fitzgerald, with Rev. James Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9, Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thomas was born September 6, 1916, in LaGrange, Georgia, to the late Frank and Mary Gibbs Haddock. She lived in Fitzgerald most of her life and for the past five years lived in Warner Robins with her daughter. Mrs. Thomas was a former employee of the Fitzgerald Cotton Mill and H.R. Kaminsky & Sons. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and active with the church’s senior citizens group.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by her daughter: Joyce Cleghorn of Warner Robins; grandchildren: Ken Cleghorn of Warner Robins, Mike Cleghorn of Byron and Wanda Segraves of Fort Valley; great-grandchildren: Amy Darby, Michael Segraves and Katie Cleghorn; two great-great-grandchildren: Olivia Darby and Alissa Cleghorn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Quincy Thomas, a son, Dewey Thomas, two brothers and a sister.
