NEW BEDFORD -- Arthur Chris Martin, 58, of Taber Mill Apartments died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, he was the son of Mary (deMoura) Martin of New Bedford and the late Chris Martin. He lived in this community all his life. He was a cook in area restaurants and on fishing boats from New Bedford.
Mr. Martin enjoyed cooking and spending time with his nephew at Fort Phoenix in Fairhaven.
Survivors include his mother; his companion, Shirley Perry; a sister, Adela Mitchell, and her husband, Charles; a brother, Lionel Mendes; and many nieces and nephews.
His memorial service will be held at a later date.
